We gather together to ask for God’s blessing,
To turn to a wisdom surpassing our own;
The pow’rs that oppress us now cease to distress us.
O God, be present with us, and make your will known.

Beside us to guide us, O God we perceive you.
Ordaining, maintaining the power of life.
Yes, yours glory; let all tell the story.
Our God, be ever with us, in gladness and strife.

Pamamayani,
kapangyarihan, kaluwalhatian, sa ‘Yong tanan. Amen.

CLOSING HYMN
“Called as Partners in Christ’s Service”
(“Joyful, Joyful We Adore Thee” tune)
Called as partners in Christ’s service,
Called to ministers of grace.
We respond with deep commitment.
Fresh new lines of faith to trace.
May we learn the art of sharing,
Side by side and friend to friend.
Equal partners in our caring,
To fulfil God’s chosen end.

Christ’s example, Christ’s inspiring
Christ’s clear call to work and worth
Let us follow never faltering
Reconciling folks on earth.
Men and women, richer, poorer
All God’s people, young and old.
Blending human skills together
Gracious gifts from God unfolds.

Thus new partners for Christ’s mission
In a small or global sense
Help us bear each other’s burden
Breaking down each wall or fence.
Words of comfort, words of vision,
Words of challenge said with care
Bring new power and strength for action
Make us colleagues, free and fair.

So grant us for tomorrow, Ways to order human life
That surround each person’s sorrow
With calm that conquers strife.
Make us partners in living
To our compassion to increase
Messengers of faith, thus giving
Hope and confidence and peace. Amen.
