“BE A WIFI 24/7”

A Reflection on the UMYFP theme during their Summer Institute 2016, “UMYFP:WIFI 24/7: Willing and Inspired in Following our Immutable God”

The challenge of the UMYF as they go back to the particular local churches is to let the people through them have full access and connection with God 24/7. 

Be a WIFI 24/7, which means, a

• Work force for the nurture, outreach, and witness program ministries of the church are faithfully implemented.
• Initiator of a wholistic and inspiring fellowship and initiatives of the church for the transformation of the world.
• Friend raiser that expand and strengthen the commitment of the people called United Methodists in doing good and doing no harm as zealously attending all ordinances of the United Methodist Church.
• Incorporator or an organizer and a founder of a Methodist faith communities or agencies truly rooted in scripture, in our traditions, experiences and reason. A faith communities or agencies which passionately living out piety, mercy and compassion. 

Be a WIFI 24/7 is a challenge for us, as we want to develop our churches to it's purpose of existence 24/7. Let us commit ourselves to become a WIFI 24/7, and thus through our initiatives the world may know that Jesus Christ is our Lord, our redeemer, our friend who transformed us and commissioned us to go and make disciples for the transformation the world. A world where peace based on God’s justice will reign wherein the fullness of life, the Shalom truly manifest. Amen. (Rev. Jeric C. Cortado)
